What is Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN)?
Low-dose naltrexone is prescribed off-label by some healthcare providers as part of a patient-specific treatment plan. Providers may consider LDN in certain chronic pain, inflammatory, immune-related, or complex chronic symptom conditions when they believe it is appropriate for the individual patient.

Because LDN is not commercially available in many low-dose strengths, a compounding pharmacy can prepare customized capsule strengths pursuant to a valid prescription. This may be useful when a prescriber wants a specific low-dose strength, a gradual titration schedule, or an excipient-conscious formulation.
